Anastasia is a licensed Guidance Counselor and Certified Canadian Counselor with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from McGill University. Her clinical background consists of over 10 years of experience in mental health. She has worked with clientele in the community, educational and hospital setting. At the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, she specialized in the assessment of psychosis, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. Furthermore, she also worked with substance abuse and high-risk populations, in both youth and young adults. Anastasia has also worked with youth on personal and vocational concerns.
As Clinical coordinator her background enables her to pair our clients with the ideal professional. As a practitioner her background allows her to create the optimal-individualized treatment plans for her clients. She creates a safe space using a non-judgmental stance in order to foster trust and inclusion – this is of utmost importance to her.
Anastasia uses an integrative and multicultural approach to counseling. In her practice she draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques. She firmly believes that each individual is their own agent of change with their unique needs and struggles. Her main motivation is to help individuals be their best version of themselves.
Anastasia works in English, French and Greek.
